Pros

Thermal carafes are the best. This has has for a medium size thermos. This brand of thermos/mug is the best i have used.

The lid design is great- perfect to sip and lock. The spout is easy to take apart and clean, and the way it lets you slowly pour into the spout rez is really nice. The cap seal is very good and the locking mechanism works flawlessly.

While quite pricey, this is a fabulous product. The desing and manufacturing is fantastic. If you are on the fence about buying it the bottle i hope this helps.

The only downfall is the apparently fragile plastic top. The only complaint is the gaskets take some finding, and its a bit finicky to clean thoroughly.

Cons

Zojirushi claims it carries a 5 year warranty, but the process requests photos of the bottle and they will deny any warranty claim if the bottle shows the slightest dings. The warranty is only on the thermal insulated part, not the lid.

It does not leak, the lock and the release are smooth and reliable.

The lid is great with its locking feature and the vent ability when opening is great for carbonation and steam.

Very thin and light-weight, it's not a solid fit in the car cup holder, which is why i bought it.

If it still drips constantly after a minute then the lid is either not tight enough or there is a defect in the product or user error.

Price

All in all, while quite pricey, this is a fabulous product.

Hard to beat the return on a 9-year $35 investment.
