Pros

The thermos keeps hot drinks hot for hours. If you have a gf that has cold feet and likes warm water all the time.

I love the crisp satisfying snap each time i close its top and the latch and release join together. Lid makes drinking easy with baffle to control flow. It’s leak proof,easy to drink from,lock on lid.

Comes in a bunch of nice colors. I love that i can throw it in my bag and it doesn’t matter if the thermos is upside down or sideways. I use it solely at the office now, where it will never see hard concrete or rocky terrain.

This zojirushi stainless steel vacuum-insulated mug is awesome. It keeps hot beverages hot to very warm longer/better than the contigo insulated mug i'd been using.

Cons

The coating on the outside feels thin enough that i'd also be careful about it being scratched/rubbed/chipped off for cosmetic reasons. Instant and unremitting hatred and gnashing of teeth. It’s only been 2 months and the paint is starting to chip.

This warranty is more useless than a pro-rated tire warranty. Zojirushi considers this a “cosmetic’ defect and will not honor the warranty. If they decide it isn't, they keep it unless you pay to send it back.

Yes, this water bottle costs more than any bottle she has used in the past, but the quality and ergonomic design are there!

Also, i don’t get that weird bitter taste you get with coffee and metal thermoses with the lining in this it’s great!

In the morning, i put on the kettle and pour boiling water into the thermos.

Competitiveness

I enjoy hot drinks while swimming especially when ambient temperature dips below 40f!

Waaay better than any cup i have had at any price!

I've used many competitors' mugs, and they all pale in comparison.

I have the 16oz zojirushi bottle but this one would run circles around it.
