If the liquid is hot the cap will pop off when released because of steam pressure

The gasket does not stay seated which will let the mug leak

They also get washing in the dishwasher about once a week lids on the top shelf and mugs down below i know the insert recommended not doing so

There is usually water in the lid when they get watched this way i just remove the rubber vacuum stopper and shake the water out then put it back on

Of course if your drink is half gone and you leave the lid open it won’t be hot anymore but then the mug is open

When open it is designed to let you see ahead of you even when getting a sip cap does not block view

This appears to be the only one where you can actually drink from it without your lips coming into contact with the latch or any other exposed part of the mug
