Pros

These things seem fairly durable. I'm worried about it breaking, but time will tell. I know that sounds ridiculous, but it's really nice.

The lid is well made. It has a firm closure and a lock so it won't spill in a bag.

It fits my hand perfectly, and likewise, the spout. Dispenser lid works very well, the mug and top unit / lid clean easily.

It's easy and comfortable to drink out of - no dribbling. It requires a good soapy scrub once a week with a *thorough* rinse. I have been sprayed by my soda a few times thanks to this though.

Cons

The coating on the outside feels thin enough that i'd also be careful about it being scratched/rubbed/chipped off for cosmetic reasons. Very poor design. I guess because it took so long to be delivered (6 weeks) it’s not returnable either.

Bought this along with the stanley trigger action and contigo autoseal to find which i liked the most.

I made my coffee at around 8am in the morning and it was almost noon and my coffee was still hot (even with the cap open for 2 hours.

Competitiveness

I have four zojirushi insulated containers in several sizes.

This is smaller than i thought it would be, but it's well-made and elegant, in my opinion.

I've used many competitors' mugs, and they all pale in comparison.

Through it all, i've stuck with my zojirushi.
