Pros
It brews hot (165-170f) like an automatic pour-over. It is attractive in the kitchen, is well-designed and produces coffee at the right temperature that will not scald your mouth.
The plastic on this product is heavier than you find on your average priced coffee makers. It makes it a lot more compact and super easy to clean. Looks great, makes delicious coffee, small footprint.
Water reservoir is removable. Coffee filter cone sits inside the carafe.
This is just an outstanding coffee maker. Very nice for a 2 pax small family. Ideal for 1 or 2 people. Just something to think about.
Not the cheapest small coffee maker but makes a great cup of hot coffee. Perfect size for me as there is only one coffee drinker in the house - me!
Cons
The coffee jug is very thin and cheaply made. It cracked out of nowhere. A $30 coffee maker works exactly the same with a much a better quality and thickness of a coffee jug/carafe.

Using everyday right now and i'm very happy with the product.
This, together with the removeable reservoir and good quality plastics support my strong recommendation.
So i know the quality of their products and expected it with the coffee maker.
In fact, you you can remove it with the tip of one finger.
Price
Would highly recommend this machine, worth the price.
The price is a bit high but i would rather pay than get cheaper build and or quality parts

Easy to use and clean and also quite fast with low power draw.
Packaging/appearance
Hot enough to extract the flavours and aroma out of the bean.
Having the drip basket in the pot keeps the heating element clean.
Competitiveness
I expect my little friend to keep putting out hot delicious coffee for a very long time and will shop the zojirishi brand again.
We love our new zojirushi zutto ec-dac50 coffee maker.
So after two months of use, this almost new, well-made little machine is on a shelf in the basement.
Full disclosure, i also have a zojirushi 1 lb.

I dont like the design having the cone that holds the coffee inside the coffee pot and requiring the user to hold it down while pouring
