Cons
The gaskets fit one (thought not tall enough to make a seal) and was so lose on the second bottle that it would not stay in place. Not worth the purchase.

Wash your lid thoroughly, even better bleach solution soak.
These water bottles are the best, so it is nice to keep them functional
Good project, but if you have a tall thermoflask bottle you may need to stack 2 gaskets to make a tight seal.
It’s worth stopping the leak and using the bottle that lasts
Price
The o rings always gets moldy so i end up buying a new cup and at $30 a pop for the cups i was over buying new ones so frequently.

Had received a really nice stainless bottle as a gift.
Loved that is was a 9 pack, didn’t think i’d need this many, so glad i have extra.

Use a small flathead screwdriver or similar to pry out the old one

Put it in at the 12 o clock position then 6 o clock then 3 and 9

Dont walk it all the way around in a circle bc you will have a lot of excess from the stretch if you do it that way

It seems a tiny bit thicker than the original but i always had issue with the original one leaking esp in places where theres pressure change like driving through mountains or in an airplane

It is a little loose so of i take the top off the gasket falls out of the top however the most important part is when i drink from my bottle water does not drip out
