Pros

The only glitch that i found in the bios is that the unit won't display through the hdmi port to a dvi monitor using an hdmi to dvi conversion cable. Does not affect the functionality of the machine. The only true down side for me is my husband and i ... Read More

The night vision and clarity on this unit is phenomenal for the price. Very clear, sharp,and crisp. App was easy to set up.

Cons

This is just a hapless amateur who is toying around with someone’s amazon purchase. It should have been done before shipping it to me. Spend the extra cash and buy a qsee or night owl.

The zosi app is extremely difficult to use. The unit shuts down every thirty minutes and clears the saved video on the hdd. The app on the smartphone stops working, go figure. It's much slower (delayed), and it still does not work on my computer.

Lately for some reason when i look at live cameras the image is very blurry. Playback is near impossible. Not plug and play. Must not be compatible.

After over 40 emails they still keep triggering the same questions. Trying to set up motion alert on email is impossible. It takes ~2 days to get a obscure email response from someone in china.

Shipping

I sent my item back (i paid for shipping fees) and i just got a brand new replacement which works great.

It is possible the reboot is because of a power brownout that was so fast, no other device was affected.

Competitiveness

I worked with aimee at zosi support to return the camera and received another one in exchange (though it was a different camera model).

Other than that, it is really a 5star product for me.

It does come with 4/ 60ft bnc cables.
