Pros

Phone app works as good as it gets. Easy to install. Great customer service.

Zosi 1080p lite 16 channel security dvr recorder works well for the money. I have a mixture of swann and zosi camera and the video look the same as it did with my swann dvr. People say you can't save videos on a jump drive or pc.

Cons

The remote smartphone app is slow, almost never connects and barely functional. The app acts flakey, each login tells me i’m wrong user & password.

The s/w is difficult, and riddled with errors. Every one of them fails to last more than a year before the powered hard drive connection will not read the hard drive.

After logging in the s/w disappeared from my screen, and was only on the task bar. The nvr has a screen to change this but clicking on it with the included mouse does nothing. Failed to work and flashes between off and on.

Recorded video is heavily compressed and with choppy animation. Updating your computer with the latest video codecs won't work.

These are high quality systems and they are easy to use, install, and set up.

The cooling fan on my old dvr kept making noise and finally quit working.

Tried to reorder this after 4 years of use with no problem my unit stopped working.

This is a great security camera service for a business and the price is very reasonable.

A few years ago these dvr's were over $500.

It gets the job done and it's not too expensive

Jar with customer service immediately got back with me and said the account had been removed & my device immediately linked up.

After ordering a replacement it never arrived.

I did so from the app & sent the long device id number along with amazon order date & number.

I sent an email and got a response back within minutes.

Competitiveness

The circuit board is very similar to my lighting damaged samsung that i pulled the drive from.

The next system i buy will definitely be another zosi system or perhaps a standalone zosi wi-fi camera.

The motherboard looks just like the old ez-viz one, just smaller components, same brand and electronics.
