After several email exchanges slina (zosi tech) provided an rma shipping label and dvr was returned to zosi.

Packaging/appearance

Turns out you have to download the zosi smart view app and not the zosi view.

The hardest part of installation is crawling through the attic and feeding camera wires through the pre-drilled holes i made.
