I will tell you that you have to go in and modify the settings from default in order to get the best quality video recorded to the dvr

You also have to adjust the camera contrast for the ir night vision

There is no way they could make default settings that fit for everyone

Some people want to get the max amount of video recorded on to the hdd so theyll turn the video quality down to make the file size smaller

I address the area of video quality because i watched a few youtube reviews and have seen reviews on here that complained the recorded video was a very poor quality
