Pros & Cons
Pros
This card is (in my amateur opinion) the perfect price to performance balance in this market. They are about the same in size, the 4080 runs about 10-12 degrees cooler, and you get at most 15 fps more.
Cons
Imo this isn't acceptable for app that interfaces hardware and requires admin privilege.

The attached image is a single run from port loyal benchmark and so far the throttling cost around 50-75mhz.
Bought it with $799 msrp and it it a huge upgrade from my old 2070!
Forget what youtube reviewers say about the price, do your own research.
Competitiveness
My card benched at 246% on userbenchmark out of the box, so with a light oc it is better than a 3090 ti for significantly less cost.
Had the chance to compared and test it in the same system against a evga 3080 ftw ultra 12gb, and it was not much better.
