I recommend using a good quality battery so that the motor is powerful enough to froth.

Froth quality: this froths milk within a couple seconds and i would honestly say it works better than my nepresso frother.

Once the batteries hit half strength (i'm guessing, i didn't test) it doesn't move fast enough to warrant using it over just hand stirring.
