What makes it exceptional is it’s shape. It is ergonomically perfect (especially for right-handed people) the triangular shape is a plus. It seems like it would pour nicely.

Highlights
Quality
This product is very well made, sturdy enough to hold heavy chunks of meat in boiling water without bending whatsover.
Very well made, i am sure i will not need the lifetime warranty that is comes with the item.
Had a real triangular soup scoop from the 60's that finally broke.
Round scoops don't get out the last bits of soup from a pot.
Price
It is a bit on the expensive side, but if it lasts a long time then it's worth every penny!
Would but more kitchen utensils from this manufacturer, if i needed them, even though a little pricey.
