Pros & Cons
Pros
Crafted from durable stainless steel, it's built to last and withstand frequent use. Tye mesh is strong although when received it was a touch dented due to its cone shape.
It fits just fine across a wide mouth quart mason jar, and will fit inside a plastic funnel when my milk bottles finally arrive. They also fit inside my insulated mugs for travel or outdoor use. It fits perfectly in the top of a mug (regular or x-larg... Read More
Cons
This strainer and another are advertised as fine (not ultra-fine) the mesh is too fine for any type of flour. The ultra-fine pour-over strainers take far too long, for us.
Highlights
Quality
Good sturdy product, i would purchase again.
The handle & hanging loop are sturdy and well attached.
I thought this was a standard sized strainer, but it is super small (like for cocktails or coffee).
The mesh catches the bits after pasterization like i needed.
Price
Value for my money, lightweight good quality, great buy

I bought this for an odd reason

Did you know that when you crack and egg there is the yolk the white and then all that watery white
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
The more watery white there is the older the egg

Anyhow i read that if you break your egg into a fine sieve it will strain the watery part out and then you can cook the egg without that additional watery white

I liked the idea of that bc i am not a huge fan of egg whites anyway

The short of it is that the holes are too fine to let any of the egg flow through so i don’t use it for what i intended
